The Kingdom of Rosoria is a Constitutional Parliamentary Monarchy.

The Monarchy:

The Kingdom of Rosoria has a monarch. Unlike other modern monarchies, the monarchy of Rosoria acts as more than a figurehead. Our monarchs have the responsibility of overseeing parliament and breaking ties if one should occur. The Prime Minister also sits in parliament to advise the monarch on decisions. The rest if the Royal Family don't have the same responsibilities, but rather have the ability to officiate events. The line of succession in Rosoria is somewhat similar to that of other monarchies, but with slight differences. The residing monarch must either die or descend from the throne before another can assume. The monarchy would usually go directly to the first-born child of the former monarch. If the first-born does not wish to assume the throne, it will go down the line of children until it is assumed. If no children assume the throne or the monarch has no children, the Prime Minister may assume the throne.

The Royal Ministries:

The Royal Ministries of Rosoria are incredibly important. They advise the monarch on all means of government and policy. None but the Prime Minister have seats in parliament, so the rest must express their concerns to the monarch to have them represented in parliamentary sessions. Ministers are chosen via the monarch. Should Parliament disagree with a choice, they can vote to have a minister removed. Otherwise, a minister serves until the end of their life or their monarch's reign. The Ministries are as follows:

Prime Ministry: The responsibility of our Prime Ministry is similar to that of other countries, yet different. Our Prime Minister doesn't necessarily act as head of state, but rather as a "second-in-command" to the monarch, advising them on specific matters that need to be dealt with.

Ministry of Health and Public Safety: The Ministry of Health and Public safety ensures that the citizens of Rosoria are cared for. They oversee hospitals, the police force, fire departments, and disease control. This ministry is responsible for protecting our people and seeing that they are healthy. They are currently responsible for Rosoria's response to the COVID-19 pandemic as well.

Ministry of Education: The Ministry of Education oversees the schools and universities built and operating in Rosoria. They also ensure that education in Rosoria is free for everyone. This ministry also has the responsibility of overseeing teachers, professors, and staff members in schools across the country.

Ministry of Culture: The Ministry of Culture is responsible for overseeing the production and protection of the arts. Rosorians see physical art, theatre, music, and so many other arts as beautiful and sacred. This ministry sees to it that all of the art of Rosoria is cared for properly and with grace.

Ministry of Agriculture: The Ministry of Agriculture sees that the Rosorian people are well fed. They are responsible for the production of crops and livestock to be turned into consumable food or traded with other countries. The ministry also helps care for domesticated animals, such as cats or dogs, and seeing that they are being fed properly.

Ministry of Industry: The Ministry of Industry oversees the production of goods and technologies in Rosoria. These materials can be used to bring profit to Rosoria and stimulate the economy.

Ministry of Transportation: The Ministry of Transportation is responsible for travel inside as well as outside of the country. This ministry is responsible for the infrastructure in Rosoria, meaning our roads, bridges, tunnels, whatever we need! They also oversee how and why people leave or enter the nation. The Ministry of Transportation can administer passports for people wanting to travel to, from, and through Rosoria.

Ministry of Communication: The Ministry of Communication is responsible for the production of communicational technology, such as cellular devices, landlines, and all other means of communication. This ministry also has the responsibility of maintaining social media accounts for the Rosorian government as well as maintaining this very website!

Ministry of War and Defence: The Ministry of War and Defence ensures the physical safety of the people of Rosoria. All three branches of the Rosorian Royal Guard are under this ministry. This ministry, along with the Ministry of Foreign Relations, consult the monarch on whether or not to declare war on another nation.

Ministry of Foreign Relations: The Ministry of Foreign Relations advises the monarch on foreign policy, such as alliances, war and trade. All Rosorian ambassadors serve under the Ministry of Foreign Relations.

Ministry of the Treasury: The Ministry of the Treasury oversees the economy, inflation, deflation, trade, and the production of currency. It works closely with the Ministries of Foreign Relations, Industry, Agriculture, Communication, and Culture.

Ministry of the Environment: The Ministry of the Environment is responsible for preserving the natural environment of Rosoria. This includes both flora and fauna. Rosoria cares deeply for the Earth and reducing our carbon footprint.

Parliament:

The Rosorian Parliament is the main legislative body in the Rosorian government. It is composed of the monarch, the Prime Minister, and two representatives from each of the five provinces in Rosoria. These representatives are called Senators. Parliament meets twice a year, once in April and once in September, unless called upon by the monarchy or High Court. They meet in Parliament Hall, one of the many government buildings in the capital city of Odinia.

The Court System:

The court system of Rosoria is quite simple: a criminal is tried in a Province Court for their crime and sentenced appropriately. Major crimes are sent to the High Court of Rosoria to judged accordingly. If constitutionality is being questioned, the case goes immediately to the High Court. The justices of the High Court, lead by the High Justice, determine the constitutionality of laws and policies. If national laws are deemed unconstitutional, they must be edited by the Rosorian Parliament or replaced.
