The Constitution
The Rosorian Constitution lays out the basic principles for our government. Unlike other constitutions, such as the American Constitution, it does not explicitly lay out the function of each branch of government. The Constitution of Rosoria is as such:
The Great, Sovereign Kingdom of Rosoria doth present the Constitution to lay forth the laws of our land. May we Honour our Ancestors and our Nation.
Article I. - Rights of the People
The People of the Kingdom of Rosoria shall have the undeniable rights of the Freedom of religion, speech, marriage, and peaceful protest. No Rosorian citizen shall be unreasonably arrested or searched without proper warrant. No court shall punish civilians unfairly. Women shall have the right to abort unwanted children. The People shall have the ability to vote, no matter of race or sex, at age sixteen. The Royal Government of Rosoria shall not withdraw the aforementioned rights of the citizens as a whole, nor the rights of the individual.
Article II. - Restrictions of the People
The People of the Kingdom of Rosoria shall not have the right to bear arms meant for the use of the Royal Guard. No citizen shall hold another citizen as subservient being. The Rosorian press shall not use extreme bias. Rosorian currency shall not be defaced for the purpose of slander or hate.
Article III. - Restrictions of the Military
The Royal Guard of the Kingdom of Rosoria shall not mobilise for war without the order to do so from the monarchy. Soldiers of Rosoria shall not be housed among civilians without their written consent.
Article IV. - Rights of the Government
Under a unitary system, the Provinces of Rosoria hold minimal power and answer solely to the monarchy. The Royal Government, along with the Rosorian Parliament, has the ability to tax the people in order to sustain the Kingdom.
Article V. - Citizenship
All persons born within the borders of Rosoria shall be deemed natural citizens and must be given the privileges of such. Non Naturalised citizens must apply for citizenship or apply for a temporary visa.
Long live the Monarchy, lone live Rosoria!
The Executive Branch
The acting monarch is the head of state and leads the Executive Branch. They can sign bills into law, veto bills, and write new bills to be approved by parliament. The Royal Ministries also make up the Executive Branch, as they advise the monarch on situations in the country and how they should be acted upon.
The Legislative Branch
The Legislative Branch is composed primarily of the Rosorian Parliament. Parliament is composed of ten representatives, two from every province in Rosoria, that were voted on by the people in their province. Our members of parliament are known as Senators for simplicity. Parliament is responsible for creating laws in Rosoria and approving or denying suggested members of the ministries.
The Judicial Branch
The Rosorian High Court is the head of our judicial system. There are Province Courts, which acts as lower courts, but can only be used within their provinces. The High Court acts similarly to the American Supreme Court- it interprets the constitutionality of laws set in place by the national government.
The Military
The Rosorian military, formally called the Rosorian Royal Guard, consists of the Royal Army, the Royal Navy, and the Royal Air Force. Though we have never been to war, our loyal soldiers proudly put their lives on the line to defend ours.
