Rosoria was founded on 17 June, 2021 by His Majesty King Garrett Oliver I of Rosoria. This day is now celebrated as Declaration Day, as it was the day Rosoria declared sovereignty. King Garrett I was mostly inspired by the many other self-proclaimed sovereign states known as micronations, namely the Republic of Molossia and the Principality of Sealand. He has also long disagreed with the ways of the American government. His Majesty is proud to follow in the footsteps of the other micronationalists and begin the journey of building his own country! Since that fateful day, King Garrett I has been working tirelessly to truly create the Kingdom of Rosoria. He has chosen several close, trustworthy people to serve in the Royal Ministry to advise him. Now, the Kingdom of Rosoria lives in peace, forming relationships with other micronations and avoiding war.

Fun Fact: Rosoria gets it's name from the Swedish word "rosor," meaning "roses", combined with the Latin suffix "-ia," meaning "land of." Ergo, Rosoria is the Land of Roses, hence our national flower!
